GNV – Graph and Network Visualization is an informal "pencil-and-paper" annual research meeting intended to a few selected people working in Graph drawing and related fields, such as Computational Geometry, Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, and Information Visualization. The idea of the meeting is to bring together researchers interested in the aforementioned areas, identify new research directions and study some of the questions that may arise in a relaxed and stimulating environment.
Participants are asked to prepare some open problems for presentation, but the emphasis is on working together in groups that are formed spontaneously based on personal interest. To support collaboration and exchange of idea, each group shares the findings through a couple of progress reports. Possible outcomes are new collections of research directions as well as some original research papers.
